LUMBERTON — Living Faith Fellowship Church will have an ordination service for its newly selected pastor, Shannon D. Spaulding, on Sunday at 6 p.m. Living Faith Fellowship Church is off N.C. 211 West, at 2150 Clybourn Church Road, Lumberton. The church was organized in November 1987 by the late Pastor L.P. Ward Jr. as a nondenominational Independent Full Gospel Fellowship Church, affiliated with the Faith Christian Fellowship of Tulsa, Okla. Pastor Ward served the church for 22 years until his death in March 2009. Spaulding became the pastor a year later. He grew up in Chadbourn, and lives there with his wife and daughter. He attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and graduated with a degree in English and education. Church members are currently making plans to build a new sanctuary.
