Yard sale
The Freedom Fellowship Church Ladies Ministry will have a yard sale on Saturday at Buddy’s Bait Shop on N.C. 72 West. The yard sale will be held from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m., and will include a Sears sewing machine and many other items for sale.
Camp meeting
The Pembroke District Church of God Camp Meeting will be Sunday through Friday at The Rock Church of God, 2209 W. Carthage Road, Lumberton.
Sunday’s meeting will start at 6 p.m., and meetings Monday through Friday will be at 7:15 p.m.
The Rev. Kenny Morris will be the speaker.
Drama
The Benson Chapel Church Dramafest will be Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.
Participating drama teams will include: Benson Chapel, BUM Ministries, Leading the Way, Shannon Assembly, Silent Voices, Antioch, Mt. Hebron and the New Point Youth Drama and Choir.
Benson Chapel is off South Robeson Road in the Rowland area. Everyone is invited.
Women’s Day
The Rev. Sandra Muldrow, associate pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Florence, S.C., will be the speaker Sept. 18 during Greenville Baptist Church’s Women’s Day program. The program will begin at 11 a.m.
Homecomings
Providence AME Zion Church, Rowland, will have a pre-homecoming service on Sept. 11 at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Paul A. Sewell of Little Marsh Chapel AME Zion Church will be the speaker.
Providence AME Zion is at 279 Purvis Road.
Youth
An outreach event, “Youth Practicing Change With Parent Management,” will be Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Fairmont Heritage Center, 207 S. Main St.
The event is being sponsored by Youth Self-Improvement, Inc.
Activities will include youth practicing change, praise teams, praise dancers, drama and a solo by Landa B. Gaddy.
Music
The Crist Family will be in concert in the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. services Sept. 11 at Kingdom Place.
Mt. Pleasant AME Church’s gospel choir will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m.

New Jerusalem Holiness Church, Red Springs, will have singings on the first Sunday of each month. The programs begin at 6 p.m.
Revivals
Revival services at Mt. Pelier Presbyterian Church, Rowland, will be Sept. 7-9 at 7:30 p.m.
The Rev. Johnnie O. Coe of Hamer, S.C., will be the speaker.
The revival’s theme is “Whatever You Are Doing In This Season, Lord Don’t Do It Without Me.”
New Zion United Methodist Church will have revival services Sept. 7-9 at 7 p.m.
Dr. Dennis Mims and the St. Johns AME Church family will be special guests on Sept. 7. On Sept. 8-9, Bishop George Matthews and the Rock Hill Church family will be the guests.

Revival at Baltimore Baptist Church, Fairmont, will be Sept. 11-14 at 7 p.m. The Rev. Jeff Broadwell of Long Branch Baptist Church will speak on Sept. 11, the Rev. Johnny Bruce of Sand Hill Baptist Church will be the speaker on Sept. 12, the Rev. James Graham of Mt. Elim Baptist Church will speak on Sept. 13, and the Rev. Charles Brust of Cedar Grove Baptist Church will speak on Sept 14.

Greenville Baptist Church’s ushers will celebrate their anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday. All ushers from area churches are invited.
The Pentecost United Holy Church family in Lumberton will be celebrating the 14th anniversary of their pastor, Dr. Russell Rogers, Sept. 7-9 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 11 at 4 p.m.
Bishop George Matthews will be the speaker on Sept. 7, and on Sept. 8, Minister David Powell will speak.
A Gospel Explosion will be Sept. 9, and will feature choirs, praise teams and dancers, and soloists.
Dr. James Brooks will be the speaker on Sept. 11.

Special services
Kevin Winemiller will be the speaker on Sept. 11 at Singletary Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Winemiller is a missionary, and Singletary Baptist has always been supportive of his work.
His goal has been to preach in 50 countries before his 50th birthday, and Winemiller recently met his goal when he traveled to Uganda.

Center Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 511 Center Grove Church Road, Red Springs, will have a Men in Black, Women in White event on Sept. 18 at 3 p.m.

Special events
Baltimore Baptist Church, Fairmont, is celebrating 100 years of serving the Lord. As part of the celebration, “Old Timers’ Day” will be Sept. 11.
The Glorymen will be ministering in song during the worship hour, and a chicken bog lunch, prepared by the church’s Baptist Men, will be served.
Everyone is asked to dress in time-appropriate clothing, and hats if possible.

A banquet and musical concert will be Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Sandy Grove Baptist Church, 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Lumberton.
These events include a gospel play, “Say Yes To Jesus From The Book of Job,” and are being presented by God’s People Production and McMillan Theater Co.

Senior citizens
New Jerusalem Holiness Church, Red Springs, will observe Senior Citizens Day on Sept. 11. The worship service will be at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served after the service.
Fundraiser
The Cokesbury United Methodist Women in Stedman are sponsoring their annual Market Day Fair to be held Oct. 1.
The fair will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church at 7536 Clinton Road.
Proceeds from the event will be used for church missions.
Merchandise will include: jewelry, handbags, fishing lures, homemade jams and baked goods, wreaths and floral arrangements, beauty products and much more.
