To the Editor,
I am writing to express my complaint against Judge Moore and his lack of care or heart while hearing cases in child support court in Robeson County. The last four years I have been dealing with going in and out of court seeking child support for my daughter. When a man does not want to step up and be a real man and pay what a child needs for support, we are at the mercy of a judge’s decision.
For four years every time I have been to child support court for the most part it has almost always been before Judge Moore. Never have I seen a judge so ready to get to the end of the calendar like he would rather be in front of a TV with the remote and a bag of chips. My child’s father, who hangs Sheetrock, was told to go into court and tell the judge he doesn’t work and he wouldn’t have to pay any money. Would you believe that it actually works?
With no doctor’s note and no proof from his so-called ex-boss, Judge Moore is OK with it and I’m left with $105 a month to support my daughter.
Finally, by God’s grace and another judge, I was granted an increase of $232. My child’s father had gotten behind $1,600. He asked for a decrease in child support because he was sick of having warrants. I knew my fate when I found out that I would be going before Judge Moore. My child’s father stated he was not working. With no proof at all, not even a notarized letter from his so called ex-boss, Judge Moore granted a deduction.
Once again, no justice in a Robeson County.
