The couple celebrated with an anniversary dinner hosted by their youngest son, William E. Hedgepeth Jr.
They have two other children, Jeffrey Hedgepeth and Deborah Schelich, and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
They were married on Dec. 16, 1961, in North Lake, Ill.
