To the Editor,
On the morning of Dec. 20, 1979, God blessed me and my husband with a beautiful baby girl, Crystal Shanell Locklear. Our daughter was a wonderful mother and a very hard worker. She was an inspiration to anyone who knew her. Her life was taken at the age of 26 on Oct. 15, 2006.
She left behind an amazing daughter who has brought us so much joy and happiness to our lives. Chole’ is so much like her loving mother. We thank God every day for our memories of Crystal, and allowing us to make new ones with her daughter. Losing our daughter has changed our lives, but God gives us strength to carry on. We wish this tragedy on no one.
We would like to give thanks to Mr. Johnson Britt, and Mrs. Tammy Cummings for all of their hard work and support. We are very pleased with their services. Due to ignorance astory published in Friday’s The Robesonian was upsetting and disrespectful to the family. But, we have God on our side and He will seek justice. Without God, prayers, and support from friends, we don’t know what we would have done during this trying time. We would like to give a special thanks to United by Faith members, Mr. Tony Locklear, and Ann and Charles Brayboy. We will always love and cherish Crystal, and we know that one day we will all be together in Heaven. Love your family: Cheryl, Vernell, Beth, and Chole’.
