Library book sale
scheduled for Oct. 11
LUMBERTON — The Friends of the Robeson County Public Library will hold its annual Book Sale at the Osterneck Auditorium at 101 N. Chestnut St. on Oct. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m., Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon.
For new, hardcover, paperback and audio books, prices will range from $1 to $5. On Oct. 13, there will be a last-hour bag giveaway for $1.

LUMBERTON — The Weed and Seed program, which seeks to reduce crime in neighborhoods by keeping old and young people occupied, will hold a sign-up night for computer, drums and piano classes on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lumberton Resource Center.

sale is Nov. 3
LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Youth Giving Network’s Fundraising, Grantmaking and Grantswriting Training Program will hold its first meeting on Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Center for Community Action at 123 W. Fourth St. for youth groups and clubs from across the county.
The training sessions, which will be once a month after orientation, will be open to three students and one advisor from each group. Students will learn fundraising, grant writing, and grant making skills.
