ROWLAND — A man who was found shot to death in a vehicle on Tuesday morning has been identified.
Sheriff’s Maj. Howard Branch said the victim was Paul Locklear, who was in his “mid-40s” and had been living with a friend in Maxton.
A passerby found Locklear’s body in a 2003 Range Rover on Persimmon Road near Rowland at about 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
An autopsy was scheduled for today. Branch said that the investigation is continuing.
