seeks students

LUMBERTON — Openings are still available for Learning Together, a school readiness program for children ages 3 to 5 years old featuring free pre-math, pre-reading, and social skills classes at Pembroke, St. Pauls, and Rosenwald elementary schools.

Tuesday night sessions are held at Magnolia, Prospect, and Rowland Norment Elementary schools, and Thursday night sessions are held at Magnolia, Southside and W.H. Knuckles Elementary schools.

float sponsors

PEMBROKE — The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is accepting applications for organizations or businesses to sponsor a float at its 125th anniversary homecoming parade on Oct. 24 at 4 p.m.

Float sponsorships are $350.

Festival set

for Oct. 25

ST. PAULS — St. Pauls Elementary School will hold its Harvest Festival on Oct. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m.
