Bike Run for

Martin Dial Jr.

PEMBROKE — Thompson Baptist Church will hold a Benefit Bike Run for Martin “Mark” Dial Jr. on Oct. 21 starting at 1 p.m. at C&P Mini Mart and ending at the Lumbee Lodge. The rain date is Oct. 28.

Proceeds from tickets, which are $10 per rider or $15 per couple, go toward financial support for Dial, who has colon cancer.

Farmers Fest

LUMBERTON — The town of Fairmont will hold the Fairmont Farmers Festival featuring a 100-unit parade on Saturday starting at 10 a.m., followed by a car show, food and arts and crafts vendors, Lumbee tribal dancers and wrestling until 4 p.m.

There will also be a dance from 9 p.m. to midnight at the Robeson County Fairgrounds.

CCC auditions

on Monday

LUMBERTON — The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theatre will hold auditions for “A Robeson County Christmas” at 6 p.m. Monday at the theater at 315 N. Chestnut St.

Participants are asked to prepare a Christmas song and the bring accompaniment tracks. There are parts available for two female lead singer and dancers, two male lead singer and dancers, three female dancers who sing and three male dancers who sing.
