LUMBERTON — The Lumberton Recreation Department will hold a pumpkin-carving event at the Parkview Activity Center in Lumberton today from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Pumpkins will be limited.

PARKTON — The Cub Scouts of Parkton’s Pack No. 329 are now holding an annual popcorn drive at Food Lion, Piggly Wiggly and Walmart.

Flavors like Double Caramel Crunch with a hint of cheese, Premium Chocolate Lover’s Collection, a tin containing white chocolate pretzels, milk chocolate pretzels and chocolaty peanut clusters are available for sale. The proceeds go to support their yearly activities and expenses, including the awards program.

LUMBERTON — Purple Door Productions will hold a performance of the “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” the 70s cult classic, on Nov. 1 through Nov. 3 at the studio theater at 209 N. Elm St. at 8 p.m. each day.

PEMBROKE — The town of Pembroke will hold its second annual street fair on Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Street.

There will be food, crafts, exhibits, live entertainment and games for all ages.

FAIRMONT — The town of Fairmont is now accepting entries for its Fairmont Holiday on Main Twilight Christmas parade on Nov. 30 at 6 p.m.

Submissions from beauty queens; churches; choirs; marching units and bands are sought

LUMBERTON — The Lumberton Recreation Department will hold a Harvest Festival on Oct. 31 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Parkview Activity Center in Lumberton.

There will be games, a hay ride, contests, a cake walk and more.
