Democrats want Americans to depend on the government

To the Editor,

Folks, we have less than two weeks to elect a president to lead this great country.

Please let me explain a bit about Democrats and Republicans. Democrats want a country full of dependent people who rely on government for their every need and want. Republicans believe in self reliance and the American people. Democrats think Americans are stupid and can’t make it without their guidance and support. But this pits one against another. The ones who earn the money and the ones who take the money through government handouts.

Now social issues. Democrats were the founding fathers of the KKK. They fought tooth and nail to stop Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, in the Civil War, and again in the 1960s, opposing civil rights put forth by the Republican party. After the Democrats realized what civil rights meant, they began a legal way of removing minorities from the workplace by giving welfare, removing them again from their communities by giving government housing and section-8, removing fathers from homes by lax laws on drugs and crime and limiting benefits to the mothers for being married. All these social programs to help the poor and look what we have to show for it.

Republicans believe in our American people. We want everybody to succeed. We don’t see color as a barrier like the Democrats do. We see American people who want the best for themselves without government assistance. We believe in freedom. You are free to make it or you are free to fail.

It’s up to you.

How can this man be a bigot? All he did was explain the differences of the two political partys. So, when YOU don't like something you hear, to get them to hush you just yell out "bigot, or racsit".. Right? Sounds to me like the man votes Republican, therfore HE CAN'T be a bigot. The Republican platform strictly forbids racism and bigotry of its members, unlike the democrats(Robert Byrd,etc..) who promote it.

Using government money to buy votes has been the M.O. of the Dems for decades. Once it became illegal for them to buy and sell people outright, they began using government programs to enslave people. In exchange for "free" food, housing, and medical care, all they ask for his a healthy crop of votes.

To quote the President in last weeks debate "everything he just said is wrong." I'm a Democrat that DOES NOT want to be dependent on the gov't nor do I want those who will not put forth effort to better themselves and their conditions to have a free ride on my back. Where you and I differ is that I believe it will do our nation more long term good to help the poor, even if the system cannot guarantee not to help a few that are undeserving, than it will be to keep giving tens of millions of dollars to wealthy people in the false hope that it will "trickle down." During the economic meltdown at the end of the last Republican admin. the head of Washington Mutual was hired, was on the job for just a couple of weeks, and walked away with a multi million dollar,$19,000,000 I believe, severance package when the firm failed. I believe the out of work employees from the bottom up were much more deserving of that $19,000,000 than he was but they didn't have cronies on the Board of Directors who are no doubt looking for him to repay their favor when the time comes. These top Republicans have a lot of you fooled into carrying their banner while they hold you in almost as much contempt as they do me and you refuse to see it while they laugh all the way to their offshore tax havens. By the way, I don't hate you, I'm sad for you cause I at least know that I'm part of the 99% that they believe is here only to be of service to them.
