To the Editor,

David Rouzer’s campaign has spent millions of dollars trying to convince voters in our district that Congressman McIntyre toes the party line. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

Friends, don’t let yourselves be bought. Get the facts about McIntyre’s bi-partisan voting record. The National Journal, a non-partisan publication, recently scored McIntyre’s voting record and ranked him one of the most moderate members of Congress in the entire nation. That’s because Congressman McIntyre’s votes aren’t dictated by party leadership but by the needs of our communities here in Eastern North Carolina. Need proof? Just ask the overwhelming majority of mayors from our district, Republicans, Democrats and Independents, who recently endorsed McIntyre over Rouzer. They’ve seen the results McIntyre has produced by working in a bipartisan manner to bring taxpayer dollars back to our district. Need more proof? Look at all the organizations from across the political spectrum that have endorsed McIntyre. These groups meticulously study voting records, not rhetoric, before supporting any candidate.

Mike’s voting record has earned him endorsements from the pro-business Chamber of Commerce and National Federation of Independent Businesses; the North Carolina Association of Educators; the pro-family group Concerned Women for America; the anti-amnesty organization Americans for Legal Immigration PAC; the National Rifle Association; and the pro-life National Right to Life Committee.

At a time when our nation is crippled by partisan bickering, the retired colonel is proud to be represented by Mike McIntyre, who has the courage to put party labels aside and vote in our best interest.

He barely represents Rob Co now, so his re-election doesn't hinge on convincing people here to vote for "one of us."

He or his supporters run ads saying Rouzer is actually campaigning on shipping jobs to China. I don't know how a politician can do that, but even if they could, would someone actually make a campaign promise to do so?

Let's help McIntyre keep his promise he broke so long ago, and send him back home.

Roger F. Hall: I want you to put your ear real close to your computer and listen to this... WE DON'T CARE, HE'S A DEMOCRAT PERIOD!

From here on out democrats are considered the enemy. No God fearing, family and freedom loving person, should ever vote for a democrat again after what this man occuping the white house has done to this nation and her people........

PS. If you had a 7 year old kid and he/she went missing, half mile to your left is a neighborhood full of democrats, half mile to the right a neighborhood full of Republicans.... Which way would you pray your kid wondered off? Answer honestly......

It just occurred to me that ROSS could be the poster child for the new Taliban recruiting campaign! It was precisely his/her kind of intolerance that got on a school bus a few weeks ago and shot a 14 year old child in the head because she dared disagree with his/her views of what is right. The upside for the rest of us is that the Republican party seems to be caught up in the same problem as the Muslim world in that the crazies have become the voice of their party. The more moderates among them seem to be afraid of their wrath to the point that they won't call them out and this empowers them more. Reflect on this next week when you learn around midnight that you have another 4 years to reinvent and repackage your hate filled message for another try at the top spot. By the way I'm the most 2nd Amendment believing Democrat you've ever seen so I won't be worried about you and your suicide missions.

I'd like to 2nd the Colonels message. I've been a fan of Congressman McIntyre for a long time and have been proud of the way he's conducted himself in an "actions speak louder than words" manner. As stated above he's endorsed by the NRA and while I'm a member of that group I'm saddened that it seems to be morphing into the National Republican Association because they put out the false message that to not be a radical Republican means I must not love my country. Our congressman was also one of the very few Democrats to vote that AG Holder was in contempt of Congress for not cooperating with Congress in the matter of the death of a Federal Agent tied to the Fast and Furious debacle by the BATFE. Consider the courage and conviction it takes for a person to do this kind of thing because it's RIGHT whether it's popular or not. Please keep this man as long as he's willing to serve because his brand of courage over popularity will bring us back to where we need to be as a nation.
