LUMBERTON — For those voters who anticipate long lines during Tuesday’s General Election, there is today and a half day on Saturday to cast an early ballot.

It is an option that has been used already by 14,131 voters in Robeson County. According to Dock Locklear, director of the Robeson County Board of Elections, that total surpasses the 14,050 early ballots cast during the last presidential election in 2008.

Early voting is also called one-stop voting because first-time eligible voters can both register to vote and cast their ballots on the same day.

Hours for voting at the Board of Elections Office, 108 Elizabethtown Road, are from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Voters can also cast their ballots from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the following sites: Pembroke Library on Blaine Street; Fairmont Fire Hall on South Main Street; and Red Springs Community Center on Cross Street.

I predict Robeson County for the first time in history will go REPUBLICAN. How do I konw this? I really believe they are tired of and have woke up to the lies from the democrats. Obama's numbers will be shocking in this county.

30% Obama

70% Romney!

Watch and whine.....

The only chance Romney has in Rob Co is if everyone straight ticket votes and forgets to bubble-in Obama. Otherwise, he'll win this county with ease.

While on a single issue like traditional marriage, the people around here disagree with Obama and will vote accordingly, they'll turn a blind eye to his abortion support, same sex marriage support, and vote for him anyway.
