ROWLAND — A Rowland man has been arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping, according to sheriff’s Maj. Howard Branch.

Branch said that David Earl Page, 44, of the 100 block of South Patterson Street, went into Winner’s Choice Casino at 2362 N.C. 130 West in Rowland on Nov. 6, pulled out a handgun and forced the clerk to open the register and give him money. After he got the money, he ran out of the business toward Rowland, Branch said.

According to Branch, Page stole about $4,000 cash and a $500 handgun. Branch said that charges are pending against others involved in the robbery.

Page is being held at the Robeson County jail on $200,000 bond.
