Ronald Dean Hunt, of 6348 N.C. 130 East Fairmont, passed away Dec. 20, 2012, in Asheville.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at FairPoint Freewill Baptist Church, the Revs. Charles Cummings and Gary Deese officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born June 11, 1967, in Robeson County. He was the son of the late Archie Dale Hunt and Cleo Dessie (Linda) Hunt.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Dale Hunt; his paternal grandparents, Neil Archie and Bessie Hunt; and maternal grandparents, Rufus and Dessie Hunt.

He is survived by a sister, Pandora Hunt of St. Pauls; a niece and nephew, Aiyana Oxendine of Pembroke and Jeffery McNeil Jr. of Red Springs; and special friends, Margaret Hunt of Fayetteville and Carol Ann Hunt of Lumberton

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont

Carlton Edward Nance, 83, of Cerro Gordo, died Dec. 22, 2012, at his residence.

Final rites will be 3 p.m. Monday at Worthington Funeral Home, the Rev. Bobby Mowery and Roy Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.

He was the husband of the late Penny Lou Williamson Nance and the son of the late John and Gatsy Victoria Nance.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Nance and Lewis Nance.

Nance was a deacon at Cerro Gordo Baptist Church, a charter member of the Cerro Gordo Fire Department and a retired member of the Cerro Gordo Fire and Rescue. He was a retired inspector with the N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles, after 32 years of service. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Chadbourn Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by two daughters, Kay N. Honeycutt (Johnny) of Chadbourn and Teresa N. Young (Keith) of Lumberton; a son, Greg Nance (Brenda Spires) of Cerro Gordo; two sisters, Lois N. Green and Jacqueline N. Heflin, both of Cerro Gordo; two brothers, Bobby Nance of Florence, S.C., and Douglas Nance of Cerro Gordo; four grandchildren, Wade Williamson, Darryl Nance, Amanda “Mandy” Pierce and Travis Britt; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua Williamson, Courtney Williamson, Haven Nance and Cole Nance.

The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. today at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.

Micheal Jerome Cooper, 54, of Brooklyn, died Dec. 16, 2012, in Brooklyn.

The funeral was held on Friday at Union Missionary Baptist Church. Interment was held in Pinelawn Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Cooper of New York; his mother, Margie Cooper of Lumberton; a sister, Deborah Mason; a brother, Danny Cooper of New York; two aunts, Mary ” Al” McDowell and Katie Copeland; and a uncle, Cleveland “Icky” McDowell, all of Lumberton.

She is survived by a brother, Donald Kemmett of Cardwell, Mo.; three sisters, Fonda Johnson of Cardwell, Dorothy Thurman of Georgia, and Maida Sullivan of Pine Bluffar; and a godchild, Christa Locklear.

Charles Ivey, 71, of Orrum, died Dec. 21, 2012, at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Floyd Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Ward’s Cemetery in Orrum.

Ivey is survived by his wife, Ann Ivey of the home; two sons, Charles Wayne Ivey of the home and Jonathan Michael Ivey of Monroe; a brother, Bob Ivey of Orrum; a sister, Phyllis Eisle of Fairmont; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., and other times at the home of Louise McLean, 13496 N.C. 72 East, Lumberton.

Louraine Burney, 79, of Lumberton, died Dec. 22, 2012, at West Bladen Assisted Living in Bladenboro.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Mariah Church Cemetery in Maxton.

She is survived by her son, James Lawrence Burney; four daughters, Julie Ann Council, Linda Carneal, Betty Bryant and Eleanor Monroe; two brothers, J.P. McLamb and William Frank McLamb; three sisters, Gritha, Alice and Ann; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.

Gloris Clark, 74, of 31 Greely Road, died Dec. 21, 2012, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Thompson’s Funeral Home, the Revs. Dr. kenneth Locklear and Bill James Locklear officiating.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Clark Locklear of Maxton; two sons, Harvey Bryant of Red Springs and Bruce Bryant of Lumberton; three sisters, Sara Ruth Taylor and Daisy Locklear, both of Lumberton, and Hattie Steen of Rowland; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday at Thompson’s Funeral Home.
