LUMBERTON — The United Way of Robeson County will hold a reverse raffle on Thursday to see which of 20 finalists in the agency’s annual Car Giveaway will drive away in a new vehicle.
It will be held at 6 p.m. at Biggs Park Mall’s Center Court, with the last person standing picking an envelope that will reveal which vehicle that person wins — a Chevrolet Spark, Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, Ford Fiesta or a Toyota Yaris. The finalists all qualified for the reverse raffle by being fair-share givers, meaning they give the equivalent of at least one hour’s pay a month to the United Way.
There will be prizes available for people who come to watch.
