Oxendine- Jones

Sylina K. Oxendine of Pembroke and Harold Dwight Jones of Maxton were wed in a marriage chapel in Dillon on Jan. 12 at 5 p.m.The Rev. Grimsley officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Donna Scott and Horace Oxendine of Pembroke, and the granddaughter of Sylina Locklear. She attended Purnell Swett High School and works for Curt Locklear Jr.

The groom is the son of Amie L. Jones and Horald Jones of Rowland, and the grandson of Mary Lambert. He attended South Robeson High School and is a full-time pastor.

Hunt-Hunt

Melanie Hunt and Dwayne Hunt were married on Nov. 10, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Kingston Plantation at the Hilton in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The bride is the daughter of Hervie and Dr. Josephine Locklear and the late Earl Cranston Stickland, all of Fairmont, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Locklear of Fairmont, the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stickland of Fairmont and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Locklear of Pembroke. She attended The University of North Carolina at Pembroke where she received her bachelor’s of science and master’s of Public Administration. She works for Richmond Community College.

The groom is the son of Mary Elizabeth Oxendine and the late William Datris Hunt. He is the grandson of Mary Jacobs Hunt of Fairmont and Cornelius “Ball” and Pearly Hunt of Rayham. He attended West Robeson High School and is retired from 24 years in the U.S. Army and Civil Service at Ft. Bragg. He is self-employed.

The maid of honor was Chelsey Hunt and the bridesmaids were Cetera Hunt and Kayla Hunt.

The best man was Jackie Blake and the groomsmen were John Hunt and Jonathan Hunt.

The flower girl was Joslyn Locklear and music was provided by Rev. Roy, Stephanie Locklear and Pierre Locklear.

The wedding director was Millicent Collins. A reception was hosted by the bride and the groom at Kingston Plantation. A bridal shower was hosted by Elizabeth Wilkerson and Millicent Collins at Village Station Restaurant, and a pantry shower was hosted by the bride’s coworkers.

Following a honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple will reside in Pembroke.

Bullock-Hodges

Trisha Devon Bullock and Edward “Boo” Hodges, both of Fairmont, were married on Dec. 8, 2012 at the Princess Ann State Park in Orrum. The Rev. Mark Perko officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Lyndell and Brenda Bullock. She attended Fairmont High School and works for Eric West, attorney at law.

The groom is the son of Ed F. and Donna Hodges. He attended Fairmont High School and works for Ed. F. Hodges Inc.
