Helen Hales
BLADENBORO — Helen Sealey Hales, of Bladenboro, passed away Jan. 21, 2013, at Wesley Pines in Lumberton.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, the Rev. Bert Young officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Church Cemetery.
Hales was born on Aug. 15, 1925, to the late I.P. and Alice Ivey Sealey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Hales; three brothers, John, Buck and I.P. Jr.; three sisters, Vidalia Hall, Margaret Sealey and Betty Stone.
Helen is survived by her two sons, David Hales Jr. and wife Christy of Bladenboro, and Chet Hales and wife Beth of Ocean Isle Beach; two brothers, Fuller Sealey and wife Nancy of Lumberton, and Paul Sealey and wife Margaret of Florence S.C.; two sisters, Lillian Johnson of Raleigh, and Jackie Musselwhite of Lumberton; and three grandchildren, Casey, Cassidy and Camryn Hales.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.
