Vera Haskins

RALEIGH — Vera W. Haskins, 93, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, died peacefully at her home on Feb. 17, 2013.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Zebulon United Methodist Church.

Haskins was a registered nurse who worked in private duty care of the elderly in West Hartford, Conn., and in the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company clinic. She was a graduate of Morrison High School and Elizabeth Buxton Hospital School of Nursing in Newport News, Va.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jackie Williams of Knightdale; her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kelly Haskins of Lumberton, Joel and Lisa Haskins of Columbia, S.C.; her grandchildren, Austin and Lindsey Williams, Morgan and Connor Haskins and Robert and Hayley Haskins.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Massey Funeral Home, Zebulon.
