PEMBROKE — Agnes L. Moore, 75, of 451 WL Moore Road, was born Jan. 1, 1938, to Paul and Nolie McMillian Locklear. She went home to be with Jesus on Feb. 17, 2013, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

The funeral was held on Feb. 22, at Prospect United Methodist Church, the Revs. Dr. Kenneth Locklear, Carolyn Cummings Woriax and Dr. Robert Mangum officiating. The burial will follow in Moore family cemetery.

Moore was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James S. Locklear, Brantley Locklear and Grantley Locklear; a infant son, Mitchell Pate Moore; and her two best friends, Eva and Shirley Moore.

Moore leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Carl T. Moore; a grandson, William Austin Mercer of the home; three daughters, Wendy Moore Graham of Pembroke, Kimberly Locklear (Wade) of Starks, La., and Carla Mercer of Maxton; a beloved sister and best friend, Myrtle Locklear and brother Paul Locklear Jr. (Ruby); 10 grandchildren, Karryl and Ashley Cummings, Donald, Kirrsty, Riannah, Brooke and Devon Locklear, Brittany, Destiny and Nikki Mercer; eight great-grandchildren, Kaiyah, Lakotah, Trey, Keira, Nolan, Tahaven, Bryden and Drake Wade; and special loved ones, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brayboy, J.R. Locklear, Tammy Oxendine, Nan Locklear, Gary Locklear and Crystal Locklear.

She was truly a virtuous woman and we call her blessed.
