Martha Prevatte

LUMBERTON — Martha Boone Prevatte, 80, of Lumberton, passed away on March 10, 2013, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at North Lumberton Baptist Church, Dr. Allen Admire and the Rev. Anthony Harden officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumberton.

She was born in Robeson County on July 7, 1932, to the late James Boone and Alma Mae Bruce Boone.

She previously worked as an inspector for Converse.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Alton Prevatte.

Prevatte is survived by her sons, Ernie Alton Prevatte, James Alton Prevatte, John William Prevatte, all of Lumberton and David Andy Prevatte of Sanford; her brothers, George Boone, J.D. Boone, Edsel Boone, and Sam Boone, all of Lumberton; and her sisters, Anna Grace Boone of St. Pauls and Bertha Walton of Monroe.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton.
