Robbin Elliot Sharpe, of Fairmont, passed away on Sept. 28, 2012.
The service will be 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Oriental.
He was born in Buncombe County on Oct. 10, 1951, to Edward Robbin Sharpe and Clara Manley Sharpe. He was a medical technician for Duke University Hospital.
Robbin was predeceased by his mother, Clara Jane Sharpe, and sister, Karen Sharpe O’Rourke.
He is survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephew, and friends.

We will miss you, in so many ways you showed us what living life to the fullest was al about. My son ( your Godchild) enbraced this and continues to engage in life and models this concept. I gained so much by knowing you, sharing your time and love, and being so inspired to go further in life. My heart aches for the sadness you have experianced, but I rejoice in your heart that was O so true and ful of positive energy beyond compare. I will never be able to honor you in a deserving manner, but I shall always hold you dear in my heart.
