Henry “Ray” Brewer, 75, of 1589 McDuffie Crossing Road, departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 10, 2012, at Highland Acres Nursing Home and Rehabilitation with his loved ones by his side.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Faith Assembly of God, the Revs. Roy Clark, Sam Henderson and Eugene Scott officiating. Burial will follow at the Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
Brewer was born in Robeson County on June 3, 1937, to the late Issac Brewer and Mattie Retha Revels Brewer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Homer Brewer and I.V. “Bud” Brewer.
Brewer leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 54 years, Eunice Locklear Brewer; two sons, Henry “Bronnie” Brewer (Pam) of Lumberton and Kenny Ray “Dog” Brewer (Wanda) of St. Pauls; two daughters, Gerita “Rita” Bullard (Jessie) of St. Pauls and Felicia “Sissy” Scott (Eugene) of Lumberton; two brothers, Ennis Brewer (Noyal) of Raeford, William Brewer (Brenda) of St. Pauls; three sisters, Mattie “Lucy” Bell (Harold) and Annie Sue Jones (Hilbert) of Lumberton, Letha Baker (Jerry) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Nichol Brewer Lowry (David), Heather Brewer Harris (Derrick), Branyun Bullard (Tamara), Tiffany Scott, Auston Brewer (Savanna), India Scott (Austin), and Leslie Brewer; a great-grandchild, Micah Harris; a loving mother-in-law, Cathy Lee Maynor Locklear; a special niece, Tammy Strickland (Everette) and her daughter, Krystin; and a host of relatives and friends.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton, N.C., and other times at the home, 1589 W. McDuffie Crossings Road.
