Richard William Koenig, 65, of Hamer, died Nov. 28, 2012, at his residence.

A memorial will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Floyd’s Cemetery in Fairmont.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Feb. 8, 1947, he was the son of the late George Koenig and June Pittybone Koenig. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War.

Koenig was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Rogers.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley B. Koenig of the home; daughters, Teresa Bolen of the home, Tammy Ammirati of Dillon, Amanda Rogers of Florence, and Elizabeth Harrison of Orrum; five grandchildren, Kimberly Pittman, Lucinda Turbeville, Katilyn Richardson, Alexus Tadlock and Thomas Pittman of Dillon; and four great-grandchildren, Parker, Lucas, Kal, and Mattison.

The visitation will be form 6 t0 8 p.m. Saturday at the home, 2033 Mount Calvary Road in Hamer.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans.
