Shirley Oliver
FAIRMONT — Shirley Jeanette Rogers Oliver, 77, of 9385 N.C. 41 South, passed away Jan. 13, 2013, at her home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont, the Rev. Joe Bounds officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
Oliver was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” Rogers and Maybelle Williamson Rogers; two sons, Artie Mertes and Clay Oliver; and two brothers, Dallas “Pee Wee” Rogers and Roy Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, John Oliver of the home; a daughter, Marti Barr and husband George of Locust Grove, Ga.; two brothers, Robert Rogers and wife Paulette and Tommy Gene Rogers and wife Susie, all of Evergreen; two sisters, Frances Gause and friend Jimmy Smith of Lumberton and Doris Taylor and husband Ted, also of Lumberton; a grandchild, Corey Chance and wife Hannah; and a sister-in-law, Ann Rogers.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.
