Bobby Blue

PEMBROKE — Bobby Junior Blue, known as “BJ”, 17, of Pembroke, passed away Jan. 23, 2013.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday at the Saint Annah Freewill Baptist Church, the Rev. Anthony Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born Dec. 22, 1995, in Robeson County. BJ was the loving son of Bobby Ray Blue and Lorrain Strickland Blue.

He was an 11th-grade student at Purnell Swett High School. He loved to play baseball, ride ATV’s, motorcycles and play computer games. He was a delightful young man who will be truly missed.

Surviving are his parents, Bobby and Lorrain Blue of the home in Pembroke; a brother, Bobby Ray Blue Jr. of New York; a grandmother, Patricia Strickland of Red Springs;a great-grandmother, Bessie Oxendine of Pembroke; and a host of family and friends.

The visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday before the service at Saint Annah Freewill Baptist Church.
