Allen Emanuel Jr
SALISBURY — Allen Emanuel Jr., 79, of Salisbury, passed away Feb. 26, 2013, at his residence.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Revels Funeral Home Chapel in Lumberton. Burial will follow in the Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
He was born Sept. 22, 1933, in Lumberton, the son of the late Allen Emanuel Sr. and Lettie Samson Emanuel.
Allen attended the schools of Robeson County. He attended the House of Prayer of Faith in Cleveland. He was employed by Duke Power for several years. Allen had a great love for music. He also enjoyed gardening.
Allen was a wonderful brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed very much. He was a very kind and giving individual.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Norman Emanuel, Jimmy Emanuel and Robert “Bobby” Emanuel; and three sisters, Rosey Emanuel, Juanita Emanuel and Martha Emanuel Hunt.
Those left to cherish his memories are a daughter, Brenda Locklear and husband Rick of Woodleaf; a brother, David Emanuel of Maxton; a grandson, David Locklear of Salisbury; a granddaughter, Lashonda Emanuel of Woodleaf; and two great-granddaughters, Briauna Saunders of Salisbury and Luna Tapley of Woodleaf.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton.
