LUMBERTON — Sally Evelyn Williams, 81, of Lumberton, passed away on Friday at Golden Living Center.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Hollywood Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; parents, Edgar and Sally Lowe; three brothers and one sister.

Sally is survived by her sons, Jimmy of Lumberton and Ronnie of California; a sister, Mae Belle of Tampa, Fla.; a nephew William Tyner; and a wife, Barbara of Lumberton.

Brenda Pittman

Brenda S. Pittman, of 103 Medley Lane, Apartment B1, entered heaven on March 7, 2013. She was a homemaker who loved children and served as a substitute teacher in the Public Schools of Robeson County. She was an active member of Trinity Holiness Church.

A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.

Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., at 809 East 5th St. in Lumberton.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Prinice and Foneva Stephens; and two brothers, William Stephens and Jimmy Stephens.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Pittman; a son, Billy Cash of Lumberton; a daughter, Barbara Adams and friend, Frankie, both of Lumberton; a daughter, Amy Bagley and husband, Tom, of Garner; a son, Ken Pittman and wife, Sandy, of East Bend; five grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother, Kenneth Monk Stephens and wife, Pat of Lumberton; a sister, Betty Wilkerson and husband, Terry, of Seaford, Del.

Lawrence Jones

Lawrence Jones, 87, of Lumberton, passed away Friday at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Ten Mile Baptist Church in Lumberton with the Rev. Frankie Bass officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Robeson County on Dec. 3, 1925, to the late John S. Jones and Nancy Willis Jones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Nelda Atkinson Jones.

Jones is survived by two sons, Joseph “Joe” Jones and wife, Marsha, of Proctorville, and Bobby Jones of Lumberton; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the church fellowship hall.
