ST. PAULS — Stephen H. “Bug” Sutton, 96, of St. Pauls, died March 10, 2013.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Philadelphus Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Red Springs.
Sutton retired as Public Works director for the town of Saint Pauls.
He was born Nov. 19, 1916, in Pinehurst. He was the son of the late Dan Sutton and Nancy Jane Hall.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Richard; his wives, Clara and Dorothy; and siblings, Thomas “Buster” Sutton, Ellis Sutton, Margaret “Seady” Sutton and Annie Maxine Graham.
He is survived by his brother, Earl and his wife Doris of St. Pauls; his stepchildren, Carol Daniel, Bobby Morris and Harold Morris; his grandchildren, James Sutton of St. Pauls, Carolyn Sutton Deweese of Charleston, Patricia Sutton Mitchell of Tennesee; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Smith Sutton of St. Pauls; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
