Chavis – Jahn
Michael and Carolyn Chavis, of Lumberton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sonya Chavis, to Henry Jahn, son of Irvin Jahn and Easther Locklear.
The bride-elect attended North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and works as an associate veterinarian at Pembroke Veterinary Hospital.
The groom-elect attended The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and manages his own rental properties in Shannon.
The wedding will be held on Nov. 12 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Pembroke.
Hardin – Hunt
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hardin, of Lumberton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Candice Paige Hardin, to Matthew Hensdale Hunt, the son of Peggy Freeman Hunt and the late Delry Dale Hunt of Fairmont.
The bride-elect attended Lumberton Senior High School and North Carolina State University and works as the director of Quality Improvement at Lumberton Children’s Clinic – Children’s Health of Carolina.
The groom-elect attended Fairmont High School and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and works as a Lt. Commander with the United States Public Health Services Commissioned Corps. He is stationed at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) at Research Triangle Park in Durham where he serves as a civil engineer for the Office of Research Facilities.
The wedding will be held on Aug. 25 in Jamaica. A celebration of their marriage will be hosted in Lumberton at a later date.
