Lumberton police seek public’s help in identifying robber


LUMBERTON — The Lumberton Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a convenience store last month.

The robbery occurred on June 16 at about 11:35 p.m. at A&B Mini Mart, which is located at 612 N. Roberts Ave.

According to an incident report, the robber showed a handgun to the store clerk and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.

The robber is described as a black male, about 30 years old. He has long dreadlocks, is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. The Police Department has circulated two surveillance photos on Facebook.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lumberton police Detective Blake Harrell at 910-671-3845. Callers do not have to give their names.
