LUMBERTON — Three people have been charged with drug crimes after sheriff’s deputies searched a Lumberton home and a business as part of separate investigations.
On Wednesday, members of the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Task Force and SWAT team searched a home at 450 Parnell Road in Lumberton, according to Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealey.
Aaron Dean Revels, 30, and 36-year-old Billie Jo Ransom were each charged with conspiracy to sell or deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a drug dwelling, possession a firearm as a felon, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine.
According to arrest reports, 650 grams of marijuana — about 1.4 pounds — and 2.7 grams of crack cocaine were seized from each of them. They were each jailed at the Robeson County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.
In a separate case, an employee of a Lumberton tackle shop was arrested following recent complaints of drug sales at the store, Sealey said.
Eric Simpson Locklear was charged July 29 with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia after the Violent Crime Task Force searched Eric’s Tackle Shop on N.C. 72 near Pine Log Road.
According to an arrest report, 305 grams of marijuana, 1 gram of cocaine, and prescription opiates were seized from Locklear, who was jailed under a $15,000 bond. Locklear, 48, lives on Red Springs Road.
