RED SPRINGS — Some Red Springs residents may be without water today and Aug. 29 while the North Carolina Department of Transportation makes changes to an intersection, according to a notice from the town.

Due to a high number of accidents and fatalities at the intersection of N.C. 211 and Old Lowery Road, the Department of Transportation will be rerouting some water lines to expand the road.

Residents from Dairy Ranch, a restaurant on East Fourth Avenue, and Cindy Road, may experience water outages from 8 a.m. to noon both days, the notice says.
