PEMBROKE — A LRDA fireworks show that was postponed in July commemorating American Indian heritage has been rescheduled for Saturday.
There will be a day of festivities, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., at the LRDA headquarters at 636 Prospect Road, Pembroke.
The Fireworks Sky Show will begin promptly at 9 p.m. Highlighting the event will be a Lumbee Homecoming style outdoor gospel concert in front of the LRDA headquarters that will begin at 6 p.m. The Lumbee Ambassadors will also perform along with other cultural presentations.
There will be food vendors and arts and craft merchants all day.
The fireworks show had been scheduled for July but was postponed because of safety concerns.
The event will help kick off the celebration of National American Indian Heritage Month, which is November.
