LUMBERTON — Sandy Grove Baptist Church will host a Community Fun Day Saturday intended to provide a respite after Hurricane Matthew.

Festivities begin at 1:30 p.m. and continue until 4 p.m. The event will include free food, games, face painting and bounce houses.

The event is sponsored by Radiant Church.

Sandy Grove Baptist Church, located at 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Lumberton, was flooded by Hurricane Matthew. The church has served as a distribution point where flood victims can pick up supplies after the Oct. 8 storm.
