LUMBERTON — Free clothes, blankets, toiletries, food, water school supplies and more will be distributed in Fairmont and Lumberton on Saturday.
Reshelle Gainor, a Fairmont native who now lives in Lumberton, will be driving a 26-foot truck to Robeson County with family and friends to hand out supplies collected in the Cartersville, Ga., area for victims of Hurricane Matthew.
Supplies will be distributed from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Church Without Borders, 199 Byrd St., in Fairmont, and from 1 to 5 p.m. at Sandy Grove Baptist Church, 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Gainor said the items were collected by local churches and businesses in Georgia, where she and her husband are pastors. “It was just on my heart that I had to do something to help my hometown,” she said.
