RALEIGH — A Lumberton resident is among 243 people who recently successfully completed the Uniform CPA exam during July-September testing.
Andrew Carson Fanning of Lumberton passed the test, according to the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners.
The exam consists of four sections; auditing and attestation, business environment and concepts, financial accounting and reporting, and regulation. Those sections represent a total of 14 hours of testing.
The purpose of the exam is to provide assurance that those who pass the CPA exam possess the level of technical knowledge and skills necessary for initial licensure in protection of the public interest.
