UNC Pembroke hosts senior art exhibit

PEMBROKE — The A.D. Gallery on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke will present “Beginning of the End,” an exhibition of the work of three UNCP senior art students.

The 2016 Fall Semester Senior Exhibition will open Monday and continue through Dec. 1. A reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday.

The A.D. Gallery is located in Locklear Hall. The artists will be available during the reception to answer questions and offer methods behind their work. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

Participating artists are Brittiney Chantel McCall, Katina Jo Oxendine and Lakeisha Simmons. Each is scheduled to graduate in December.

The show is representative of the artists’ best and most recent work from their college career, including drawing, digital, sculptural installation and fiber art.
