To the Editor,

This past Friday, Gov. Pat McCrory and Attorney General Roy Cooper met on stage to debate issues here in North Carolina. While watching the debate, it was clear that Roy Cooper appeared stone faced and glued to his talking points. On the other hand, Gov. McCrory was fluid, mobile and much more personable.

Roy Cooper’s attacks may have been good for a newspaper clipping or a cute quote, but they fell flat when you actually examine Gov. McCrory ‘s record. Under his administration, veteran unemployment has been slashed, thousands of jobs have been added, and teachers have received some of the largest raises in state history.

The only response from Roy Cooper was more Democratic talking points and trial lawyers speak. Roy Cooper is a strict lawyer, but Gov. McCrory has the facts on his side.
