Threat of Hurricane Matthew forces Robeson County to move football games

LUMBERTON — The threat of Hurricane Matthew has prompted Robeson County’s high schools to move their football games to Thursday.

There is a lot of uncertainty regarding the path of the storm and the impact it will have on North Carolina, but all six schools are taking the safe route in preparation.

Here’s an updated schedule for Thursday:

East Columbus at St. Pauls, 7 p.m.

Whiteville at Red Springs, 7 p.m.

Fairmont at West Columbus, 7 p.m.

South Robeson at South Columbus, 7 p.m.

Lumberton at Pinecrest, 7:30 p.m.

Purnell Swett at Scotland, 7:30 p.m.
